| Hello beautiful friends! :)
It has been way too long since I've updated this thingy...things have been kinda busy and stressful this semester. But that's okay, because they are great right now! Here's the scoop!
Me and Matt are moving soon!! Into a pretty house on Palm Street....it's got big pretty rooms, and a nice backyard, and a ginormous porch! I love it!!
Me and Matt and Heather just got back from one of the best trips I've ever been on! It was amazing! We went to Colorado for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, and it was incredible. We spent all day Thursday being spoiled by them...we went to Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs (also known as Caribou Springs  ) and Garden of the Gods!

It was amazing! And then on Friday we went sledding (twice) in the Pike National Forest...it was so gorgeous there. And then Matt joined us on Friday night and we had my Mammaw's chili and cheese dip...mmm tasty! Then Saturday was the party, and I have to say it was awesome. I only hope that me and Matt can be that happy and in love after 50 years...they are so special and their story is so inspiring...
I've talked to my brother 4 times in the last 2 weeks! Yay for me, but sad for him. He found out that his fiance was cheating on him with a guy she'd known for a week, and he found out while she was at a hotel with the guy...so he is pretty heartbroken. And it's really hard for him because things are changing in his squad and battalion and I'm kinda worried about him. But at least he's got a good support base at home and over there, because a lot of his battle buddies are going through the same thing... But at least I've gotten to talk to him, and I know that God is going to get him through this...but if you could just pray for him, that'd be great...
This semester has been really hard in different aspects, though...it's my year of lasts and I hate it. I've had my last tipi raising, my last hayride, and my last halftime ever...that was the hardest one so far, because I love marching...and I never get to do that again...
Anyway, I've made a really long post now, so I should go. I can't wait for Thanksgiving! I love you guys! Have a great day! :)

| Hello Xanga Friends :)
I hope your semesters have been great so far...mine's been busy, but pretty good. 
Band has been crazy busy, but that's okay....it's still lotsa
fun. We actually have a productive band committee this year, and
it's amazing! We've been planning activities and fundraisers, and even
created a student lounge! It's called the 'Roon Room! And we're super
excited about it. :) I hate being uniform person...very much
so...but at least I have awesome friends to help me with all of the
work...and we're almost done with all of the stuff we have to do before
we hand them out...
Club's been pretty good this year. We got two new
members...Cassandra Willis and Kat Culberson!!! We are sooo excited to
have them in our sisterhood....Yay!! :) Oh yeah, we're selling
our annual homecoming shirts next week...and you should totally buy
one....they're super cool! :)
I still miss my brother, but I did get to talk to him last weekend! He
called at about 8:30 on Saturday morning, and I got to talk to him for
about 15 minutes...it was amazing. He sounds so uplifted and
encouraged....God has really blessed him with a wonderful spirit and
protection in everything he does....it's awesome. I sure do love
that boy. :)
Speaking of boys that I love, my husband rocks...
Everyone please pray for our friend Kim....she's going through some tough times right now, so just keep her in your heart....
Yeah, so I'm gonna go....remember in all that you do, Jesus is holding
you in His Everlasting arms and Amazing Love, and that He will never let you go...

| Well, I suppose it's about time that I update...things have been so
crazy lately...yesterday was the first day I've gotten to be at home
and actually rest since August 15th. So many things have
happened...and so many things that were supposed to happen didn't....I
missed some of band camp, I missed the retreat, I've missed my
friends....everything is so different this year....and it makes me feel
so alone....
Like I said in my last post, I had to miss the first two days of band
stuff cause of Hannah's wedding...I felt (and still feel) pretty out of
the loop...it's taking me forever to learn all the names of the
freshmen...once we got back I went to band on Monday through
Wednesday...but on Tuesday at lunch Matt came up to school to tell me
that my cousin had died in a car accident that morning.  And at that point in time in the day, we still had 9 hours of band stuff to do.
Chris had just turned 24 and was on his way to a job in College
Station. He fell asleep, and then the driver fell asleep behind
the
wheel. When the driver woke up, he over corrected and the truck
flipped 5 times...Chris was thrown out on the second one...and he even
had his seatbelt on. It was so hard to see his mom, dad, and
brother suffering... We were very close when we were young...and
it
breaks my heart to know I won't see him again on this earth...he was
such a kind hearted person, and he will be greatly missed...

| Hey guys
Band's about to start and I'm so excited! I miss everybody like crazy
and I'm ready to have you all back. I won't be there on Sunday
though...sad day...my sister-in-law is getting married on South Padre
Island on Saturday night, so I have to go to that. So I guess
I'll see all of you on Monday...
You know what else I'm excited about? The RETREAT!! Nicole and I
have been planning it and it is going to be sooo much fun! I have
missed all of my
sisters so much this summer and I can't wait for us to all be back
together again. This year is going to be so much better than last
year!
I got to talk to my brother...it was great. He sounds
okay...kinda down. He's earned his combat badge now, which means
he was actually in combat. In the middle of the fire fight one of
the guys in his company got shot in the hip...he wasn't doing too good
last I heard, so please pray for him. Jon sent us a picture of
him in Iraq, and just so you know who you're praying for, I thought I'd
post it on here...
He's so young...it kinda breaks my heart sometimes....but I'm so proud
of him...and he'll be home soon (well, in March or April for
R&R)...so please continue to pray for him, and if you'd ever like
to send anything to him or his squad, let me know! He'd love knowing
that he has such great prayer cover...
Well, I'm out...I'll see most of you on Monday morning! I love you guys!!

| Movie night tonight at 7! We're watching V for Vendetta (if we can get
it) and I'm gonna make my famous spaghetti...okay, so maybe it's not
famous, but it should be 
I've been thinking a lot about this "best friend" thing, and I've come
to a decision. Why do we all need to be so exclusive? All
it ends up doing is hurting other people when they've been ruled out as
a candidate for that persons best friend because that spot is already
filled...and then when things fall apart you find yourself hurting
because you pushed everyone else away, even if it was on accident...
Or at least that's my experience with it...
Aubrey and Lauren and Kaycee...I'm sorry you are all hurting, and I'm
praying that everything gets worked out...I love you all very much...
And I'm done ranting! :) I'm so excited about movie night tonight....I can't wait to hang out with all my friends!
